Our timing was off I regards to water temperature, but the captain was excellent trying to find us fish. I did catch a clown knife for the first time. I would definitely use Captain John again. Excellent experience

It is February and we’re down here in Florida on vacation. A recent cold front that swept the South had dropped the water temps enough that it put a hit on the Peacock Bass & Clown Knife fishing.. Captain John had text me two days before my trip to tell me that in case I would change my mind. That was very thoughtful of him but I said let’s keep the date. Cap managed to keep me on the largemouths while we were still trying to catch the other fish. Looking forward to coming back in the summer for the Peacocks & Clown Knife fishing.... And we did catch some nice largemouths... Thanks again Captain John !!!

Capt Shanley took good care of us on our trip. We caught a good number of fish especially considering the cool temperature and a night with a full moon. My 10 year old grandson was with me and Capt Shanley was attentive to him and patient. If you are considering a trip in that area I would not hesitate to use him again. He had the libel loaded and was ready when we arrived and did not count the minutes at the end of the day.

We had a blast today chasing the “slam”. Captain John put us onto fish all day. Some super fun Clowns and a jumbo Peacock (5 lb). John is a great guide and knows where all the fish are hiding. Highly recommend him if you’re in the area.
